here's twelve shots, we know how you do

renee and i decided on a place to have the reception - the woodlands, out in cleves. it's about a 20-25 minute drive from the church, but not a complex one - you take hamilton up to cross-county, which you take west to 275, to the rt. 128 exit, and you go up 128 for a few minutes and make a right onto a big hill. up a ways on the hill is the driveway - a long, wide driveway. but when you get there, you see why it's back so far.

it's a multi-level parking lot, two large halls, and we're using the lower one. the entire area is just wrapped in trees, but it feels like someone pulled the top off of a dome of them and .. the view is just sweet. it's a really cool feeling. a big place, too, that'll probably fit all 300-some guests we have listed. i'm excited about it.

now that the two big things are nailed down we gotta start checking out the other stuff - cakes, flowers, dj's (although i'm an advocate of the band versus the dj, it feels less like a 7th grade dance and more like a reception), etc...

if you're following ILB you've noticed that we've had the same pattern for a few weeks - payphones ringing, telling the computer on the other end the correct answer, opening up some sound clips, assembling them into coherent stories about characters. i'm assuming it's all backstory to halo2, which it sounds like. but it's getting kind of old. honestly they either need to end the game or give us something else to do - waiting a week for what ends up being a five or six minute sound clip, in pieces, it just doesn't have the same satisfaction when you've been doing it for so long.

firefox 1.0PR is out. it's a prerelease of the final 1.0 version, but if you are still using IE, you need to kick the drug habit and get with a real browser.
