i'm so indie my shirt don't fit
more and more goodness. except that dsl is crappy today, i havent had a problem w/it in three years and today our connection keeps dying. so i'm retyping all this after losing it once.
- tony and i and his boy monsour ate lunch at the new food court in TUC, the student center thingy they just rebuilt. nice vibe to the place, very simple and clean design. good stuff - there's lots of space to sit (for now, probably won't be enough in like six months when everyone's in there), decent music (just a tad too loud, but ok), and a movie theater that's free for this week & the next. lame stuff - no wireless in the eating area. :( i dig it though.
- getting fed up with outlook 03 and its sluggishness of performance, and decided i needed a simple, easy IMAP client to use when i don't need exchange access (read: at home and school). thought that since i liked firebird so much, i'd try mozilla's thunderbird. it's really great so far, especially for a 'beta' (although firefox is a 'beta' and it's fully functional). easy to set up, FAST, lots of options, etc... much better than outlook's cluttered, frustratingly-slow interface.
- from slashdot, rick berman (star trek producer guy) says that the next movie might be a prequel. IMHO they should do one on the formation of the federation and use some of the current enterprise cast (archer, t'pol, trip, reed) as main characters, but old, and introduce some new ones to maybe carry on a new show. probably wont happen but it'd be sweet. they could also do something on the the romulan war. as long as it isn't the 'federation-as-timecops' crap from the end of voyager.
that snickering sound you hear is half the planet laughing at what a nerd i am, awesomeness. :)
