i'm ready to give you my heart

just got back from POD/blindside. amazing show. the meet the bands thing at the beginning was kinda junk, we just got processed thru a line and they signed stuff. the email we got about it detailed 'hanging out with the band'. heh. but they signed my hurley hat, so that's cool.

rob and i left afterwards and came back home and watched return of the king. we headed back up to bogarts just as blindside started. i wish they had played longer - i could have listened to them for hours, but they only were up for 30 minutes. they did bust out caught a glimpse, sleepwalking, cute boring love, and about a burning fire. good stuff. then POD played for like an hour and 20, they started out a little stale but then really got into the show, and had a sweet setlist. i especially dig the deep cuts off their albums (songs like messenjah and lie down and satellite). they did bust out sleeping awake, which surprisingly was IMHO the best song of the show.

going with rob was a blast. i dont think i've laughed while at a concert that much in a long time. there were lots of pants references - christian from blindside was wearing jeans that were silly tight. tom jones tight. and sonny from POD's were about to fall down the entire time. part of the $22.50 ticket price was apparently seeing his boxers all night, sweet action.

b missed the show, which was a bummer. we met him up at bogarts at 9, where he promptly realized he hadn't brought his ticket. next i heard from him was after blindside at 9:30, where he amazingly was having trouble finding his ticket among the rest of his belongings. go figure. i got home at 11:30, apparently he had found it eventually at 10:30 and just decided it wasn't worth coming up. sigh.

anyway, the ears are pretty much useless. im gonna go to bed and then code all day at work tomorrow.

i miss renee, BTW. i've noticed that since yesterday, the time i'm not around her, i feel her absence a lot more. but we have finals, i have camp, then she has VA beach with the family she babysits for, for two weeks. so july, we'll get to see each other a lot again.

july. argh. :/
