i think they found 'em down the road or somethin

i think i'm going to sell my nintendo DS, and get one of these. cause screw it, the DS is going nowhere in the next year. there are no good games out for it that didn't get old in 40 seconds. and they just announced online play yesterday for it - i.e. you can use the 802.11 built-in wireless on the DS to play across the net against others, xbox-live style. while 8-player wireless mario kart on the net sounds sweet - it won't be out til the end of the year.

the PSP, on the other hand, has a pile of quality games scheduled at release. more, actually, than i think the DS will have out by december. true, it'll have 1/10th the DS's battery life, but i have a solid device-charging schedule now, adding another into the loop will be easy.

i'm still a nintendo dude at heart - i love my cube, i love what they do with their classic franchises (zelda, mario, metroid) but the DS's future looks plain weak. i was hoping that at the GDC that's going on now they'd announce something that'd convince me to keep it. but online play, and frickin nintendogs... yeah, not my forte. it may be innovative, but i'm not the type of gamer to sit around and play animal crossing - i want to blow crap up and headshot aliens and be a frickin ninja. my chances of doing so on the DS look slim to none now.

they might as well have called it the virtual boy 2.

so, anyone wanna buy a DS and two games?
