dirty deeds... and the dunderchief

i realized i haven't slept in til whenever in a long time. that was nice this morning.

check out this gamepro article on overhyped but never released console games. specifically, check out duelin' firemen about halfway down the first page. wow. why couldn't i have this game? and hardcore gamer points if you ever actually PLAYED on the 3DO system. or the philips CDi :) the one system i always wanted to test-drive was the jaguar, but i never got a chance. maybe i'll run across one at a garage sale someday.

now that i think about it, i want to pick up a virtual boy. i tried that system out in a store once back in the day (during the eleven minutes the console was available in stores) - it was actually a sweet concept and the two games i tried (Tetris and Wario) were actually fun. for those of you who aren't geeks - the virtual boy was a failed nintendo system concept that was released a while ago, it was a game system with goggles and a controlled attached to them, and the games appeared in real 3D. no developers wanted to make games for it, and it was bulky, overpriced and underpowered. plus it came out in august '95, when the playstation was about to own the gaming market for a few years. but the games were all in black and red, which seriously looked sweet.

bout to go into work. oh yeah.
