so renee and i saw welcome to mooseport last night. argh. not good, not funny at all. like a bad episode of everybody loves raymond - cuz ray romano, while hilarious, unfortunately is only flexible enough that there is about one role he is able to play - the bumbling, incompetent, childish, good natured dork. there were a handful of 'oh, i get it, heh' moments but otherwise bad writing and directing and just overall real cheesy. i expected MUCH better out of gene hackman. but i got to spend all evening with renee and that always makes everything better. :) [sappy mode = off]
