and then your local corner store ain't got a CD left

the irish rock. not notre dame.. the entire race. we took steve out for his birthday friday night (b, ed, greg, chip, tony, sara, artie, dethloff and I) at claddagh's, the irish restaurant in newport... and then went down to the irish festival on the river and sat and listened to excellent irish music. i just almost typed musich. heh.

some of you guys may remember tony sheffey... got lunch w/him yesterday, he's back in town from the air force. still the same old sheff, he's doing well. he's still doing computer stuff, fixing cisco routers and such. blows my mind, i never thought he'd turn geek :)

and then last night meagan and i went up to eat dinner w/alex kozlovsky (from work) and his family, and a few other people, and it was excellent. we played with their kids (their son, allen, is gonna be a MEAN soccer player, the boy is two and has this shot that'll take your head off) and ate some authentic russian cuisine (beef tongue, mmmm). it rocked out. meagan and i got into a lot of talking about guys and girls and why we act the way we do. i tried to share some insight into guys and why we do what we do... how humanity is inherently selfish and so we're very, very rarely nice for the sake of being nice... how guys and girls can be friends if the guy is content in a committed relationship with another girl... lots of fun sociological observations...

oh yeah.. i got so sick of my S56 turning itself off every five minutes that i picked up a new cell phone yesterday, a motorola t725. nice to have a flip phone again. i really like this one, it's very customizable, has a fantastic interface, great sound quality... no bluetooth or IR though, but i'll live. i swear this is it for the rest of the year. i'm happy with this one. the S56, it always felt like it was about to break. a few of the keys were close to falling off... well at least with the whole SIM card thing i can keep it around as a backup.

going up to my grandparents' in dayton today to fix their computer. woo hah.
