in the shuffling madness
i was in pretty bad shape all weekend.. something i ate on friday messed me up and took me out all friday night and pretty much all saturday. fortunately renee came over and took care of me on saturday.. i'm actually keeping down solid food, and i can walk (and drive) without feeling dizzy.
yesterday at church pretty much cemented things for me. a few of the people i've had in mind when thinking about running a small group - what lifespring marketingly calls lifegroups :) - came up to renee and i and talked to us about being in one together. this is the right way to go, and now that i'm certain i'm very excited about it. and it was good to see austin, davie and dougie up there too.
one of the actual good things about this full-time-working thing is getting to go to all the IT conferences around the city that the other IT management people waste all their time at. i went to a microsoft seminar last thursday down in newport, and i have one tomorrow night downtown.. and then next week i have two cincinnati bell seminars, one on wireless and one on cisco security. its sweet going around to different places, sitting around with a bunch of other 'executives' (where i totally don't fit in) and getting to talk with people.
mmmm. fruit punch gatorade is TAS-TEE. this is like my third bottle this weekend.
in other news: troy was kinda weak. i'm glad i didn't see it in the theater. i'm starting to notice the extreme cheesiness in movies like that more - how many lingering brad-pitt-looking-thoughtful-and-brooding shots does a movie like that really need? amazing casting, though, peter o'toole and sean bean... brian cox was brilliant as agamemnon..
we got movie night tonight with dead poets society. and the train it won't stop coming, thought it could slow down...
