from the fire we return

mmmm, delicious street fighter 4 footage. i am so ready for this game (and for the HD remix if they ever finish the stupid thing). although the character art is a little too cartoony, ryu looks like the judge from roger rabbit...

yeah i'm not quite sold on the zoom-in effects - and the closeups of the fighters before the match - makes the whole game feel less like street fighter and more like virtua fighter/doa/tekken. looks like you can skip past them, though.

i guess if the controls and gameplay feel like SF2, like they are aiming for, i think they'll succeed...

mmm, check this out - a hi-res video of ryu vs. ken, with a zoom-in shot of a finishing move that actually looks kinda cool. i don't know... maybe it'll grow on me.

They either made it harder to pull off the moves or those guys suck! Who can't make a fireball on an arcade version of the game? Geez.
