dirty deeds... and the dunderchief

don't it feel like sunshine after all

well we spent the first 5 minutes of our company meeting discussing how our UK VP is sending me weed in a server box. how great is that.

so i signed up for xm's streaming xmonline service... before they announced it i had it clearly pictured in my mind, how it would work, and it's pretty different. i figured it'd just be a normal HTTP stream, no fidgeting with Real/Windows Media/Quicktime or anything. No go.

first off it requires that you use IE and Windows Media streaming. so unless you spoof the browser ID string, you aren't using anything but Windows/OSX. which sucks cuz I just built my fedora core 2 desktop system at work. the player is simply a flash app in a popup window... and the flash app is NICE. really cool looking and slick. the streams, however, are garbage, even on the low end. very choppy, even on a 33kbps stream. thanks windows media. so i'm not sure if it'll be worth the $4 a month they charge for it. i'll try it out for a bit and see, but hopefully the streams get better, they get better servers, etc...

brennan manning is coming to eastside christian church tonight and tomorrow. apparently it's $20 (does manning give you a massage or something for that?). tonight at 7:30 and tomorrow morning at 9am and one other time.

if you're following ilovebees at all... how cool is this, i got in two of the WAV files that the sleeping princess posted about her 'crew'. i'm finally a part of history, in a meaningful and significant way. :) but hey, next tuesday at 5pm i get my phone call. OWN.
