well i got a tiny bit of KOTOR2 time today after i traded in Metroid Prime 2 for it this afternoon. obsidian pretty much decided to stick to the formula - a good one - which means good controls (for the most part), goofy, disjointed dialogue... sweet, engaging combat, where you have a myriad of ways to beat a given enemy down... lots of exploration... basically the good elements of an RPG with some mystery and semi-action. more strategic than spur-of-the-moment. and jedi. basically everything i loved about the first one. including some of the bad - just-over-the-irritating-line load time, too much menu navigation required to save (MAKE IT A BUTTON COMBO, PEOPLE), in-combat controls and camera taking you places you don't wanna go...

but some great improvements, first and foremost, graphically... much sharper, actually LOOKS like an xbox game. and the ability to switch 'weapon sets' mid-combat. and jedi powers from minute one.

a tad bit choppy at points, but what can you do, the graphics are sweet. if you liked the first one, you need to go get this.

ben's about 26 hours into it and he says it only gets better. i can't wait to see where it goes.
