false sense of accomplishment

overpriced event of the day: the king of queens' kevin james is coming to the taft theater here on may 13th, packing even more into the month o' lovin. tix are $38, tho.

even better event of the day: a prairie home companion, the greatest radio show in history (with the greatest american storyteller ever, garrison keillor) is coming on august 11th to the ohio state fair. those are only $20.

i can't remember a time when i didn't want to go see that show live. some of the things i grew up with have a stronger attachment to me than the things i grew to enjoy on my own (e.g. jimmy buffett). i listen to PHC or the writer's almanac a lot if i can't sleep.
