individuality not safe
not much going on.
well that's not true. there's a lot going on. a major american city and its surrounding areas were obliterated. i get worn out listening to the news media scream at the government for dropping the four-ton ball on the cleanup effort. worse, i'm tired of listening to that government try to rationalize and justify their actions like i did when i was five years old and had a completely irrational excuse for every bad thing i did.
i'm tired of the nagging guilt that all i can do to help is donate money and i have a job and family and responsibilities here that keep me from throwing myself into the greatest american disaster in who knows how long.
so i'm trying to bury my head in the sand about it, and i've stayed in most of the week, hitting the gym once but otherwise going about my normal business.
i can pray. guess that'll help. probably more than anything i could do or any amount i could donate. say what you will about that.
hey congrats to big ed buehler and his new fiancee, theresa. we got to see 'em right after the event and they were both glowing. not because they were on fire, or because they were so near fernald. the last unmarried member of vandelay bites the dust :)
kings island followed by simon's wedding on saturday... the vinoklet art festival on sunday...
