i try to convey what you strive to condone
hopefully this afternoon i get to have dinner w/mom and dad and adrian. it'll be the first time i've seen them since before i proposed. i'm actually real excited. it depends when they get back from the boat, apparently adrian did his open water dives for his scuba certification (he gets to do EVERYTHING, no fair) this weekend. pretty spiffy, except i'm doubtful of the visibility up at lake erie. but i'm sure he's enjoying himself.
so we think we have a date set for the wedding. doesn't seem like there's any conflicts, so we're aiming for July 23, 2005. sorry all you short-engagement-ites, it just can't happen any other way. but i'm very happy with the amount of time we have to plan things. honestly, i've been waiting three and a half years to propose to a girl i knew i would marry. reality just caught up with how my heart felt. add onto that three more years of waiting for her to be available... i'm not trying to trumpet myself, like i'm the man or something, or i have infinite patience (clearly that's not the case), i'm just trying to fend off the "longer than six months? gasp!" masses. heh.
so the foam party on campus at midnight last night was ridiculous. a few dozen students there, dumping huge quantities of soap into a big waterfall-fountain-thing, and then playing in it til the cops showed up (literally, all they did was show up, drive up next to us, park, and sit there, and everyone scattered, it was pretty funny). some good pictures were taken, i hope to get my hands on some of them. renee showed up at the very end but didn't get to jump into the foam. a pity. :)
