neurological dryer lint

you don't see perfect weather days like yesterday in this city very often, which is probably why it only lasted about six hours, and then the tornado watch fired up. at least i had a few hours in the afternoon to run errands, drive around with my windows down listening to some tom petty.

one more week of new leader training left. this week i got to talk about cabin times / one on ones at camp, and it brough back some great memories of some scary, hilarious, exciting, deeply moving discussions sitting around on the floor late at night at rockbridge, champion, saranac... it really made me miss doing younglife. i think down the road i can see myself (hopefully renee too) getting back into it.

april fools' day on the web this year was a little disappointing. slashdot's "OMG!!!Ponies!!!" pink overhaul probably made me laugh the hardest. i still remember two years ago, google announcing their email service with 1GB of space for everyone on 4/1, and it turned out to be true. nothing's beaten that so far.

so i'm considering getting one of those teacup things to help with the constant sinus problems. while it seems really bizarre and horrifying, i hear they work really well. i'll try anything at this point to kill off the last elements of the coughing. it's almost totally gone - really just kind of lying on the floor twitching, waiting for the death blow.

finally - garrison keillor's the writer's almanac has finally been turned into a podcast. now all we need is for PHC to follow suit.
