i ain't dyin' anyway
lady in the water was diet shyamalan, a watered-down (no pun intended) version of what previously had been great storytelling. this felt like unbreakable for the wal-mart crowd, a much less subtle attempt to tell the 'find your purpose' story. seemed a little less coherent, a little more jumbled and disorganized. the acting was top notch - great, emotional portrayal of cleveland heep by paul giamatti, very surprising and funny roles by bob balaban and six feet's freddy rodriguez... and wow, what the heck was jeffrey wright doing in this? dude usually plays a dealer or a thug (remember Peoples from Shaft?). i loved his performance as the quirky crossword-puzzle-genius.
side note to night: seriously, chief, stop acting in your own movies. the quick cameo shot was tolerable.. once. to make yourself a major character is a little much - the bloody savior of mankind, sorry, you're just not that good an actor. stay behind the camera where you can't hurt anyone.

if you're not already hyped about guitar hero II, i have, er, eight words for you: Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart. IGN has some video here of some of the sequel's new songs. rush's YYZ looks mighty tasty, i must admit, not being much of a rush fan.
i didn't care too much for the movie either. also, the first time i saw M in the movie, i was like, "ok, there he was and we won't see him anymore." WRONG! Agreed, he does need to stay behind the camera. I was quite disappointed with this flik. good for Mindee though, cuz she's into just being scared.
simpleton.
I didn't think it was very thrilling at all though.
Sure, Justin, rub it in that I don't have a PS2 and Guitar Hero...nor will I be able to play Guitar Hero 2.
Why don't you go ahead and laugh at me for standing in Best Buy for at least an hour each time I'm there just playing Guitar Hero.
Mock me, I dare you.
P.S.: Still haven't heard one good thing about Lady in the Water..
don't hold your breath for a good review.
I just started DVR-ing Psych. I haven't watched it yet. We are also recording the show "Saved" on TNT. We watched the pilot episode last night. Great show....
So would you recommend Lady for rental someday?
yeah. it's worth seeing, just don't expect anything earth-shattering...
