we have a few hours here in the savannah airport and a few more in philly, so we won't get home til about 9:30 tonight after the drive home from dayton. hilton head was beautiful, sunny, humid (borderline jungle a few days), and not as touristy as i'd expected.

did i mention warm? the above picture was my attempt to photograph the in-car thermometer when it hit 107 on the drive to the beach on day one.

i've had a great chicken recipe sitting in my brain for a day now and even though it'll be late as crap when we get home, i think i'm gonna try it tonight. dinner at 10 pm, just like in the old country.

dude, i think im gonna have people over on saturday to watch Feasting On Asphalt. and i just got a dutch oven. how bout ribs and apple cobbler?
