argh, i'm dying to play clubhouse games online, but my DS doesn't support WPA. and no one in their right mind uses WEP.

wait a minute. my wii supports WPA.

there's an idea in here somewhere. hold please...

... so why doesn't nintendo add WAP-esque functionality to the wii? allow the DS to link up with the wii acting as a base station and route the DS' internet traffic for it using WPA. it'd be relatively simple to implement and could run in the background... the bloody thing is connected to the net 24x7 anyway. if they refuse to update the DS to support WPA, that's the least they could do for people who don't want to drop another $40 for their proprietary USB connector.
