everybody's gonna leave their seat
in the space of about two seconds this saturday, i went from "meh" to "WOOOOO" about house-hunting. we had just walked into the first of seven houses we looked at on saturday... we ended up only seeing one we really liked, and it was a little further north than we'd expected. it's closer to my office, though, and if renee ends up with a job up in that area it would work out well.
i've never thought too hard in the past about what's around me when i've moved - it'd been dictated by college and by ministry... now we have to think about schools, how far we are from our family & friends, resale value, quality of the neighborhood... i've never been one to handle the feeling that i don't know everything i should about a decision this big. i think that's been one of the tougher internal battles in this process... anyway, we're going to keep looking but maintain an eye on the one place we liked.
finally - salut to artie + lisa, who welcomed lincoln, another heir to the kuhn kingdom, over the weekend.
jackson and lincoln... man... that rocks.
although, if they have another son and name him coolidge or van buren or fillmore, people might think they're taking presidential last names as first names a little too seriously. or maybe that's just me.
I think Artie should name his next boy Polk.
House hunting can be a pain, but it does help you figure out your likes and dislikes pretty quickly.
