look where all this talking got us baby

the magic and mystique of travel always seems to disappear the minute i get on the plane. i guess if i didn't have to put any effort into it, wait in lines, sit in small seats, etc. i'd probably feel a little more positive.

i went out exploring shortly after i got in today, though, and i'm back to being excited about the week. the inner harbor is only a few blocks away and there's piles of stuff to do down there. i hit up a seafood place called m&s grill tonight and enjoyed some cajun-bbq'd salmon. they've got a newport-ish set of shops and restaurants called harborplace, and another one down the street called the power plant. i'm hoping to track down some local stuff, though, and not just hit the chain stuff. there's a pizza place down the street called Crazy Greeks Pizza that looks irresistable. the orioles play the phils tuesday thru thursday, and wednesday, well, if you're not out watching superman returns like i will be then something's wrong with you. plus there's the shula steakhouse down in the lobby that looks excellent. (don shula, unfortunately, not dave)

oh, and i'll learn some good stuff about security at the conference, yeah.

I'll talk to Sarah about some sweet places for you to hit up. There is this pretty neat Greek place down in the city you should check out if you like greek food, it's a pretty neat atmosphere. Make sure you get crabs while you're there, especially if it's paid for by CBT! And try to catch a ballgame if the O's are in. That stadium is AWESOME! Other than that, I don't have much to tell you to check out. The inner harbor is pretty sweet. You can walk around and see all the historic sites from the Revolutionary War if urine to that...
