ain't hard to ascertain
last night's odyssey against the vikes was a sight to see. last year i would have turned the game on at halftime and seen the score and thought that the TV producers had gotten the teams backwards. but we really haven't been challenged yet - we won't see the full potential of this team until week 5 against the jags.. maybe even until week 7 against the steelers. by week 7 i think they'll be battle-hardened, used to each other on the field and i think they can take pittsburgh down, assuming they don't make as many stupid mistakes (most penalties in one game in franchise history!??)
artie recommended the new switchfoot disc and although i haven't gotten to hear it yet, i saw this on slashdot and smiled. apparently their new disc has sony's copy protection on it (that prevents you from ripping it to your PC - well within the fair use clause of the copyright acts)... so they (the band) posted some instructions on circumventing it to a message board. and they recommend the best CD ripping app out there, CDEX, an open source app.
we hit up IHOP for vandelay last night. they're building a new one in tri-county fairly close to my office... now all we need is a BD's close by and we're set.
Bad news ... Switchfoot may be in trouble for this.
