the framework of the world

i'm finally ridding myself of the evil of time warner for good - moving over to directv in a couple of weekends. cheaper service with more channels FTW. what's the best part? no more beep beep dot com ads that echo off the walls of my head for days, the devil's melody itself.

i'm a little video happy today. so enjoy these two hits:

all summer the ARG The Lost Experience supplemented the show's plot in a way that net.geeks like myself drool over - culminating in a hide-and-seek, pattern recognition-esque hunt for hidden video clips all over the web. players that follow have to assemble the clips into a a coherent narrative. well, they did, and if you've ever watched lost, it will absolutely rock your world. want to know what 4 8 15 16 23 42 means? clicky.

also, you may have heard about the upcoming star wars rerelease... and if you're also a fan of the old-school star trek original series, cbs is airing new digitally-remastered versions of the series, with cleaned-up video and improved fx. not too shabby looking - might make them watchable (i'm a TNG dude, what can i say). there's a trailer here.

Do you still have your sweet Tivo w/ built in DVD burning? Does Tivo have support for DirectTV?

yes, and yes... supposedly integration between directv boxes and tivos is easy and works well...
