five years is forever
the grand opening of BD's in mason was certainly grand... the location is great for when i'm at work (although a little inaccessible otherwise) and the grub was delicious as ever. and meatballs are now an option along with the other meat choices. i forsee many a work lunch happening over them there bowls.
and next time we show up, i am dressing like ricardo up there, as i was frequently commanded to "take khantrol" while i was there. khan, you bloodsucker, you're gonna have to do your own dirty work now, do you hear me? DO YOU????!?!?
how about the amazing kreskin artie calling apple's itunes rental announcement? sadly it's still not enough to justify buying an appletv - but i hope this will drive other companies to offer more open, lower-cost alternatives. or, even better - all apple needs to do is add support for the DLNA standard into iTunes - then i can use their store, their application, and i can use whatever hardware i want to show it on my TV. too much to ask?
speaking of movies - anyone up for cloverfield on friday (looks a little goofy, but i hear there is a star trek trailer attached)
Yes, BDs was Amazing on SATURDAY night! That's right free BDs at the VIP open house! Thanks to The Gooch for hookin it up!
Do I win something? If the Apple TV dropped another $50 can could play any Quicktime, I'd buy one tomorrow. If they kept the current price point ($230) but added DVR, I'd buy one today.
i'll give you your prize later (eww)
no doubt - if apple had a $230 HD DVR that integrated (well) with itunes, and had, say, at least 350GB of space, i'd be sold.
how about that pic of Khan with the perky rack?
one of the best parts of the "making of" featurette on the Star Trek II DVD was the comment from director Nicholas Meyer - "We didn't need to create prosthetics for Mr. Montalban - that's his real chest. I get asked that question more than any other about that film..."
i'm not just sayin'. i'm serious. those are some nice breasts.
what's even better is that you were able to pull up a quote like that so quickly.
fanboy.
I'm watching the keynote on apple's website. I gotta' say, the ease of use on this thing looks killer. Skip to around minute 31 to see it in action. I know it's lame, but just not having to skip through previews and FBI warnings before my movie starts (or Jackson's episode of Dora) might be worth the price of admission.
