all the pawns you've gagged and bound

in the grand tradition of LOLCats i'd like to introduce you all to my new fave restaurant - the cheezburger cafe. sadly there is no website with the menu, but it's here in Mason, pretty close to our office.

the vibe: small joint, sharing space with skip's bagel deli. maybe seven or eight tables, room for maybe 50 people or so, a few plasma's on the wall with ESPN. friendly wait staff - our waitress knew what 31337 meant and talked my ear off about MMO's. i told B to get her number... sadly he did not unleash the pimpin'. service wasn't bad, but we were there at lunch so off-hours it's probably stellar.

the food: as the name implies, their focus is on the art of the cheeseburger and GOOD NIGHT these are some tasty burgers. the make-your-own is a great approach: one, two or three 1/3lb patties; six or seven kinds of cheese; a dozen possible toppings, including my new favorite, banana peppers (how have i never thought of that before??); a fantastic bun, reminded me of Servati's sandwich buns, light and buttery. they also have a few specialty burgers, but the make-your-own is the best bet - $4 for an amazing 1/3lb burger was a solid value IMHO.

they've also got chicken sandwiches and other non-burgers, onion straws, salads, shakes, apple pie, and excellent fries, including waffle-cut which i will bust out next time.

i am hooked. there's a specialty hot dog place across the parking lot that looks intriguing, but as i mentioned at lunch i seriously doubt i will be able to step into that plaza and not eat at this place.

BANANA PEPPERS! brilliant. i'm still stunned.
